CATS' diverse team worked within the rail tunnels at Glen Iris and Kenwick to construct multiple key structural elements of the works. The works required precise planning to ensure the most efficient construction sequence was utilised to meet tight program milestones. Simultaneous activities in highly space constrained areas with both civil and rail trades meant the team needed to be on their game.

Our Role:
1.4km of single track insitu concrete Track Slabs, including scabbling, dowel fixing, earthing and bonding and the FRP works.
3.5km of derailment kerbs within the Tunnels
Rail installation including the drilling, fixing and grouting of the viper plates for the rail connection
Elements of MCR and walkway construction.
